The bettr. Story

The bettr. Story

Bettr Company is something I have worked on for four years, refining our goals, building systems, and fostering relationships. From the very beginning, I knew I wanted bettr to be an experience-first company. Throughout my life, I was always fascinated by the fashion industry. I remember being in middle school and sketching designs, coming up with brand names, and “selling” my parents on the idea. 2022 was the year that bettr was first imagined. I wasn’t sure what it would do, or how I would do it, but I knew bettr would become a thing. I started writing down ideas, from a media company to a clothing company. It wasn’t for a few months until I settled on clothing. At first, I thought about drop shipping, as it was big back in the day, but I felt it was dishonest to dropship and tell people it was a no-shortcuts kind of company. So over the years, I kept building out the company’s mission, the operational systems, and the roadmap. It wasn’t until December of 2025 that I decided the time was right. The relationships I had fostered for four years gave the company a real chance at success. I also learned a lot over those four years, both about myself and about building systems. My work shifted from dreaming and theorizing to executing the vision. I spent countless nights turning the vision into a company. I contacted design consultants, manufacturers, ordered samples, tested them rigorously, and drafted a pitch. In a way, bettr became my baby, spending countless hours nurturing it and setting it up for success. I also noticed a shift in consumer behavior; the era of fast fashion was dying, people became tired of corporations extracting every last penny from them, and a focus on quality over quantity. I wanted to build something people wanted to be a part of, a company built on trust.

That commitment to trust led me to a realization: to be bettr, the product had to be about longevity, not just a unit of consumption. This is why I spent the last year obsessed with material science and structural integrity. We didn't just source a hoodie; we tested it and decided whether it deserved to be a part of bettr. Bettr doesn’t do the traditional retail cycle of constant noise and hype. Instead, we ensure that every piece we put out has been rigorously tested and carries a lifetime guarantee. This leads to slower releases, but it means that you can trust that those releases meet a bettr standard. Everything we do is built on that simple mission: if we wouldn’t wear it, we won’t sell it. This standard means we have to wear it first and test it through multiple washes, different use cases, and the challenges that come with daily wear.

There is so much more in the works. The Essentials Collection is just one small piece of a larger ecosystem. We look forward to expanding the company’s portfolio and taking this journey with all of you. Thank you for believing in bettr.
